Distinguished Again!

Fellow Toastmasters, on Friday, June 26th, District 5 met its last goal and became a Distinguished District! This
is absolutely wonderful news and is the result of everyone's hard work all year - District Officers, Clubs and
Members all working together to achieve this goal! Thank you!
Here's where we stand as a District:
1. CCs Goal: 202. Achieved: 230. Goal Exceeded!
2. ACs Goal: 57. Achieved: 93. Goal Exceeded!
3. Membership payments Goal: 5899. Achieved: 5955. Goal Exceeded!
4. Club Goal: 131. Achieved: 131. Goal Met!
District 5 will be recognized for this accomplishment at the International Convention in CT and District 5 will
also receive the Leadership Excellence award! |

2009 San Diego County Fair!
The San Diego Pavilion has booths for organizations to introduce their message to fairgoers through displays, literature,
and personal contact. Only 1.45 hours of your time on any of the four weekends at the booth and the rest of that
day is your to ENJOY THE FAIR!
June 12th, 13th, 14th, 20th, 21st, 27th, 28th and July 4th and 5th. Sign up NOW to promote your club, District
5 & Toastmasters International.
There is a planning meeting scheduled for June 4th at 6:30 pm at the City of San Diego Wastewater MOC 2 Auditorium,
9192 Topaz Way, San Diego, CA 92123. Your attendance is very important!

District 5 Mission
The Mission of the District is to enhance the performance and extend the network of Clubs, thereby offering greater
numbers of people the opportunity to benefit from the Toastmasters educational program, by:

• Focusing on the critical success factors as specified by the District educational and membership goals.
• Ensuring that each Club effectively fulfills its responsibilities to its individual members.
• Providing effective training and leadership development opportunities for Club and District Officers. |
