Time is running out! The Toastmasters year ends on June 30 – can you triumph in the Beat The Clock Challenge? Just add 5 members to your club between May 1 and June 30 and your club earns an exclusive ribbon and a module of your choice from the Toastmasters catalog!

To help with the filing process, Toastmasters International has put together a set of
detailed instructions to help you. Before beginning the filing process, please print the instructions and read them carefully.
 
 
 

 
The District 5 Challenge!
Like to win prizes? A great opportunity to win items for yourself or your Club!!

Over the last two years, District 5 has challenged clubs to excel by working the Distinguished Club Program. The 2007-2008 Toastmasters year continues the tradition with updated incentive programs!

Clubs that become Distinguished* by achieving 5-6 Goals by June 30, 2008 can choose ONE of the following:
1. 2004 World Champion of Public Speaking, Randy Harvey, Audio CD. “Evaluating Speeches.” (This is a must for any club who wants to evaluate and improve speaking.)
2. Walnut Gavel and Stand (TI Catalog).
3. $20 Gift Certificate to Toastmasters International Catalog.

Clubs that become Select Distinguished* by achieving 7-8 Goals by June 30, 2008 can choose ONE of the following:
1. 2003 World Champion of Public Speaking, Jim Key, Audio CD. “Adversity University: Practical Lessons For Purposeful Living.”(Life’s struggles can often be the sources for vital lessons; perseverance, patience, attitude, goal setting, and more. 3-CD set.)
2. Wheeled Backpack (TI Catalog).
3. $30 Gift Certificate to Toastmasters International Catalog.

Clubs that become President’s Distinguished* by achieving 9 Goals by June 30, 2008 can choose ONE of the following:
1. 2007 World Championship of Public Speaking DVD.
2. Advanced Communication Library Set (TI Catalog).
3. $40 Gift Certificate to Toastmasters International Catalog.

And if a Club becomes President’s Distinguished* by achieving ALL 10 Goals by June 30, 2008 it can choose ONE of the following:

1. 20 Years of World Champions DVD.
2. Portable Banner Stand (TI Catalog).
3. $50 Gift Certificate to Toastmasters International Catalog.
(*As reflected on the final D5 reports for the TI year, available in late July 2008. To qualify, a club must have their April dues paid, have a membership of 20 members or a net gain of 5, and the number of DCP goals specified for each level. Incentive awards will be presented at the D5 Awards and Installation Banquet held in August.)

And A Special BONUS**:
ANY Club that becomes Distinguished or Better by APRIL 30, 2008 can choose the following BONUS in addition to their choice above:
1. 2004 World Champion of Public Speaking, Randy Harvey, Audio CD. “Speaking With Your Pen.” (Discover an eight step process to write a speech that is true to your theme, creates memorable lines that your audience won't forget, and then ends with an audience "aha!". Amazingly simple yet amazingly effective approach to speech writing.)
2. Pacesetter Time Manager (TI Catalog).
3. $15 Gift Certificate to Toastmasters International Catalog.
(**As reflected on the May 2, 2008 D5 Reports. Clubs must have their April Dues paid, at least 5 DCP goals, and have either 20 members or a net gain of 5 to qualify for the bonus.)
