District 5 Club Officer Training

Why Attend Club Officer Training?
You help your Club by being formally trained for your position. At the same time you have an opportunity to meet your District leaders and network with other club officers in the same position - some with lots of experience and great ideas to share! Please bring your Club Officer handbook with you when you attend training.

Four (4) Officers trained in both training periods - July to December and January to June - will fulfill Goal # 9 in
The Distinguished Club (DCP) Program. With all 7 Officers trained, your club will earn a well-deserved ribbon for your banner!

IMPORTANT: All Training of Club Officers will be at the designated District 5 Officer Training sites listed below. Any exceptions must be approved by Gail E. Lover, 2007-2008 District Governor, BEFORE any training takes place (i.e., Area Governor coming to Clubs to train Club Officers is not acceptable). Only trainers approved by the District will be allowed to train Club Officers at another time or location other than the set schedules.

For a Club to receive credit, all Officers attending training
must be listed on the Club Officer List registered with Toastmasters International. Additionally, each Officer must attend the full training session to receive credit. Please send your Club Officer List to Toastmasters International so your training will count for your Club.

NOTES:
1. Club Officers that hold the same office in multiple clubs can receive credit for both clubs by attending one training for the office that they hold.

2. Club Officer Trainers, if training the club office that they hold, will receive credit for attending training. If the trainer does not hold the office that is being trained, the trainer, nor the club, will receive credit.

3. Any club officer that attends Train the Trainer will receive credit for attending training.

Special Last Chance Club Officer Training

TUESDAY, February 26, 2008
ARC Regional Training Center - East County
1374 East Lexington Ave
El Cajon, CA 92109
Social - 6:00 p.m.; District Update/Training Begins: 6:30 p.m.
Note: For planning purposes, all club officers should plan on spending at least two hours attending both the district update and club officer training.

If your club has officers that need to be trained, send them to ARC on February 26th!! Remember, if your club has at least 4 officers trained in the fall and 4 officers trained in the spring, your club will complete the Distinguished Club Program (DCP) milestone #9, moving your club closer to Distinguished, Select Distinguished, or President's Distinguished club. If all 7 of your club officers are trained, your club will earn a beautiful 100% officers trained ribbon from the District.

This opportunity comes only one more time this Toastmaster year - don't miss it!!
